“Trey Songz came with his album Chapter V, and of course 50 had 5 (Murder by Numbers), I just felt like I should jump off that wagon. So I went back into the studio and started doing songs that leaned more towards the title. I think people gon’ appreciate the concept once they hear the music.
I’m a Christian but I’m not ‘holier than thou’. Jesus Piece gives me an opportunity to speak about situations that people like me who love God but are still street and still wanna remain themselves without going the Pastor Mase route. It gives the opportunity to know that it’s somebody out there that feels them.

Video: CPS Teachers Using Chief Keef To Identify With Students
Identifying with the youth has never been an easy task. The communication gap between kids, teens and adults has always been a struggle — especially when kids and teens see the administrators as disciplinary figures and not so much friends or mentors who are out to help them succeed.
One teacher has taken the “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” approach to heart, and has brought Chief Keef into the classroom for the new school year. The video is grainy and somewhat hard to follow, but from the looks of the syllabus and worksheet, it appears his “I Don’t Like” has become a topic of classroom conversation. Is this tactic cutting edge? You bet the judge.

Last night, Heineken took over the House of Blues for the Chicago to kick off their 2o12 Red Star Access concert series. Featuring performances from DJ Kiss, Pusha T and Nas, the packed show definitely wasn’t one to miss out on. MTV’s own Sway and a few of Chicago’s own such as L.E.P. and YP were also in the building. Earlier tonight, Chad Johnson (better known as Ochocinco before he changed his name back), was arrested for domestic violence after he allegedly head butted his new wife Evelyn Lozada. According to NFL.com, the two got into an argument while driving home from dinner after Chad found a receipt for a box of condoms belonging to Evelyn [Update: There are conflicting stories on this..the Davie Police chief has been quoted as saying that it was Evelyn that confronted Chad over a receipt she found for a box of condoms]. The cops were called and when they arrived, Evelyn had a nice sized laceration on her forehead. Chad told police that he and Evelyn accidentally knocked heads, however he was arrested and she was taken to a nearby hospital.
As of now, Chad is still in jail and is not eligible for release until a bail hearing is set which could be as late as Monday.

Kevin Hart will be hosting MTV’s 2012 Video Music Awards and joins Kanye and Kim in a new promo spot. In related news, ‘Ye recently hit NY’s PH-D Rooftop Lounge and previewed a few new tracks for those in attendance. One of the tracks played, “Perfect Bitch”, was rumored to be about Kim and even prompted Kanye to tweet yesterday that he did write the song about her. Since yesterday, the tweet has been removed.
No word on if the track will be included on Cruel Summer or Kanye’s untitled sixth album, but I’m sure we’ll find out where it’ll land soon.
