RGIII's Wife Wears Redskins Heels To Game
10 Surprising Things All Wives Should Know About Their Husbands
By Lauren Ramakrishna
Whether you recently said "I do" or just celebrated a double-digit anniversary, you can probably spout off a lot of info about your husband-his middle name, where he was born, his favorite food. But knowing these 10 other things can bring you closer than ever. Find out why, and try these relationship strategies to ensure your husband is anything but a mystery. Photo by Getty Images
1. When He Needs Space
Sharing office news, the kids' schedules and the latest neighborhood drama as soon as your husband walks in the door each night can backfire. "Most women want to immediately connect at the end of the day. For a lot of guys, they need their space more than ever then," says Les Parrott III, PhD, a psychology professor and co-author (with wife and marriage therapist Leslie Parrott, EdD) of The Good Fight: How Conflict Can Bring You Closer. Give your hubby a few minutes to unwind when he comes home. You're more likely to get his undivided attention if you wait.
2. When He's Really Listening
If it seems like your husband constantly tunes you out, consider this: Men may look at other areas of the room while still paying attention, according to Deborah Tannen, author of You Just Don't Understand: Women and Men in Conversation, who reviewed videotapes of same-sex best friends talking. Rather than focus on where your husband's gaze lands during conversations, note how he responds to you. If your words are truly falling on deaf ears, Rachel A. Sussman, a relationship specialist and author of The Breakup Bible, suggests gently telling him you feel he isn't listening; then, let him respond. "Don't accuse or blame him," she advises.
3. The Most Productive Way to Fight…
Arguments happen in any good marriage. But there's a wrong and right way to fight. Through a study conducted to predict how long couples would stay married, researchers discovered, not surprisingly, that yelling during fights often led to divorce-but so did approaching arguments differently from one's spouse (say, one spoke calmly and the other avoided the conversation). "Ask yourself, 'When would I want to have this conversation?'" suggests Sussman. "Then, think about what might work best for your husband." Assessing both your moods can help you pinpoint the best time for a constructive argument.
4. …And When an Argument is Going Nowhere
For some disagreements, there's just no productive way to fight it out. To find out if you're gearing up for a purposeful fight, rate the importance of the topic. If it's a core value-like how to raise your children or which city to live in-rank it highly. If it's not-like the color of a new bedspread or what to have for dinner-it may not be worth an argument. Next, determine if you and your husband are ready for the discussion. If either of you are "tired, hungry or distracted, don't get into a conversation about something important," Dr. Leslie Parrott advises.
5. Which Topics Set Him Off
Maybe it's talking about his mom's flavorless cooking-or his late nights at work. Dr. Les Parrott says it's important to "know where the emotional landmines are. If you step on one, you can expect an explosion," he says. But you can't avoid all "hot topics." "Find the right space and time to talk about these issues," he suggests. Plus, try to understand your husband's side, and then approach him in a non-threatening way. You might say, "I'm not looking to upset you; I'm just looking for a solution to an issue that's causing me a lot of pain," Sussman offers.
6. How (and When) to Be His Support System
Couples who say they have strong spousal support and face daily stress have 50% higher rates of marriage satisfaction, according to a 2012 study. While wives equate affection and warmth with support, husbands feel supported when they're appreciated, needed and receiving offers to help with errands. Not sure if your hubby needs you? Ask him. "Mindreading is outlawed," says Jackie Black, PhD, a board-certified couples' coach and author of Meeting Your Match: Cracking the Code to Successful Relationships. Volunteer to tackle some tasks on his list so he can recharge. And tell him how much you appreciate him as a partner to give him a boost.
7. When He's Not Loving Your Love Life
If your man isn't showing signs he wants to have sex-perhaps he usually kisses your neck or gives you a telltale look-then it's time to rekindle the fire. Dr. Leslie Parrott says couples reconnect when they try out-of-the-box activities together. "Women experience intimacy through communication, so we often underplay sharing something novel," she says. Plan a date that'll get you both in the mood. Some ideas: Sign up for a race, head to the museum or take a cooking class to, ahem, turn up the heat.
8. How He Views His Role as Husband and Father
Whether it's just you two or you plus kids, you and your husband have equally important family roles. And it's vital that you recognize how he views his part and respect it. "Of course that's a two-way street, but it's even more important for men," says Dr. Les Parrott, who adds that respecting his role helps him feel close to you. Fight the urge to cast your husband into specific parts without his input. And keep in mind that you don't always have to be in sync with parenting. "Differences in temperament and style are key to parents' success and the enjoyment of parenting," Dr. Black says.
9. What His Dream Job (or Vacation or Car) Is
It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life, but happy couples discuss "each other's hopes and dreams to build and sustain intimacy," says Dr. Black. Make it a point to regularly talk to your husband about, well, him. Find out his career goals for the next few years-or just hear about his favorite book, TV show or food of the moment. Then, reciprocate by telling him more about you. Communication helps you grow with each other instead of apart.
10. That You Don't Know Everything About Him
No matter how much you communicate with your husband, you can never completely know him, and that's OK. "It's never good to believe you know anything about your partner for sure and therefore not ask," says Dr. Black. "It's vital that you and your husband continually get to know each other," adds Sussman. "If you're growing, you have to continue to catch up with each other." That means there's at least one enjoyable thing you can do each week: get to know-and fall in love with-your husband all over again.

Kendrick Lamar Disses Meek Mill On Stage In New York Read more: Necole Bitchie.com: Kendrick Lamar Disses Meek Mill On Stage In New York
Oh here we go…
It’s been weeks since Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” made it’s way online and ruffled some feathers in the rap game as he called out each and every one of his competitors and proclaimed himself the king of both coasts. While several rappers hit the studio to release responses, Meek Mill was the only rapper who was actually called out that released a response. On the track, “Ooh Kill Em” he dissed Kendrick in the lyrics:
Man you claiming you the king of New York/ What the f–k wrong with you n–ga, step back
Hundred shots, aim straight at your snap cap/ Everybody want the crown so I snatch that
Heard your gun go doo-dooo-dooo/ Well my gun go blap-blap-blap-blap
What the f–k I gotta whisper to n-ggas / To earn my respect just to get to these n–gas
Go Ether, Takeover or Jigga on n-ggas I really go 2Pac and Biggie on n–gas
What the f-ck wrong with him/ Like really I’m sick of you n–gas
You’ve been in the game like a year and some change/ And you feeling yourself so I’m killing these n–gas like…
Whether Meek’s verse killed Kendrick is debatable, but last night Kendrick turned things up a few notches when he called out Meek as “irrelevant” during a show in Brooklyn.
According to All Hip Hop, he said:
“I been doing this s–t for years…I mastered this s–t,. I have no time for irrelevant n—as [or] new n—as. There’s one n—a in particular that needs to realize that there’s ‘levels’ to this s–t. I’m MOTHER F–KIN’ KING KENDRICK.”
The obvious reference to Meek Mill was “Levels” which is Meek’s current single.
Meanwhile, Meek took no time to respond on Twitter:
King of what? Somebody please tell me.
Let me RT @MeekMill: King of what? @kendricklamar
This could either get really exciting for rap, or egos and entourages could get in the way, and it could get real dangerous. Let’s hope they keep this battle on wax….

Enormous 335-pound defensive lineman doubles as a varsity cheerleader
Dallas News | myFOXdfw.com
That's precisely what Armand Fernandez-Pierre is doing for Dallas (Tx.) Episcopal School of Dallas. And Fernandez-Pierre isn't just an undersized utility player who wanted to suit up; he's a 335-pound defensive lineman who was actively recruited to join ESD's football squad from the cheerleading team.
According to MyFoxDFW, Fernandez-Pierre was recruited to the squad by ESD head football coach Clayton Sanders, who saw the teen as a unique opportunity to add a massive athletic lineman to his squad. Fernandez-Pierre wasn't a newcomer to the sport, playing throughout his youth until he injured his neck as an eighth grader and decided it was time to find a new sport.
That sport turned out to be cheerleading, where ESD cheer coach Eric Daboa welcomed the giant with open arms.
The lineman enjoyed his time cheering on the sidelines so much that he was initially reluctant to return to football, even as the school's varsity coach was actively wooing him. Eventually he gave in to Sanders, with one caveat: He had to be allowed to continue cheering at halftime of the school's football games.
That's precisely what happened in ESD's 41-0 rout of Dallas (Tx.) John Paul II School in the season's first game. It'll be repeated on Friday against Dallas (Tx.) Brock School as well.
"We fought tooth and nail to keep him just on our team and our sideline," Eric Daboa told MyFoxDFW. "But we realized what a good athlete he is and understand the opportunities that he would have with football."

Floyd Mayweather guaranteed $41.5 million payday for fighting Canelo Alvarez
Richard Schaefer, the CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, confirmed Wednesday that Floyd Mayweather will receive a record guarantee of $41.5 million to fight Canelo Alvarez on Sept. 14 in Las Vegas in a Showtime pay-per-view bout.
That will be the largest guarantee ever paid to a boxer. The previous high was $33 million paid to Evander Holyfield for his rematch with Mike Tyson for the heavyweight title on June 28, 1997. Mayweather was given $32 million guarantees in fights against Robert Guerrero on May 4, 2013, and against Miguel Cotto on May 5, 2012. Tyson earned $30 million guarantees in each of his bouts with Holyfield.
Mayweather has earned $184 million since May 5, 2007, when his Alvarez payday is counted.
His purse guarantees since then were $10 million against Oscar De La Hoya; $11 million against Ricky Hatton; $10 million against Juan Manuel Marquez; $22.5 million against Shane Mosley; $25 million against Victor Ortiz and $32 million against Cotto and Guerrero.
That averages $23 million a fight for him since 2007.
Mayweather, who loves cars and owns several dozen luxury vehicles, would hypothetically be able to buy more than 100 Rolls Royce Phantoms, which sticker for a minimum of $398,000, with that $41.5 million check (not figuring taxes).
He could earn more, taking in shares of the pay-per-view profits. Schaefer said all signs are encouraging and he expects a massive pay-per-view number. Mayweather's 2007 fight with De La Hoya sold 2.5 million pay-per-views and remains the record.
Schaefer declined to say what Alvarez is guaranteed, though sources have indicated it is $12.5 million.

LeBron James to Produce New Sitcom for Starz
Have you ever dealt with the burdens of success?
Do you ever wake up in the night sweating Dom Perignon and feeling guilty about making millions of dollars while your friends toil away in miserable anonymity?
LeBron James understands this struggle, and now he’s making a show about it.
According to the Associated Press, the Miami Heat superstar is collaborating with Starz to produce a sitcom called “Survivor’s Remorse.” The title is in reference to a mental condition that afflicts people who have survived traumatic events in which others perished.
Instead of a car accident or a plane crash, however, James’ sitcom will focus on the guilt of living with fame and stardom around average, everyday people.
James will serve as the executive producer for the show, working alongside business partner Maverick Carter, actor Mike O'Malley and sitcom producer Tom Werner—the man who brought The Cosby Show and Roseanne to the viewing public.
The half-hour show will focus on two people from the inner-city of Philadelphia who rise to stardom and must learn to cope with their new fame. The characters will struggle with money, notoriety and the awkward reality that their best friends are still trying to make ends meet.
Robert Griffin III will start the opener
The final hurdle, which ended up being Mike Shanahan's strange reluctance to name Robert Griffin III his starting quarterback last week, has been cleared.
Shanahan made it official. Griffin will start the season opener for Washington next Monday night against Philadelphia.
Rodman back in North Korea, won't bring home jailed American
Ex-Chicago Bull and NBA star Dennis Rodman arrived in North Korea today for a five-day visit, his second this year, but said he had no plans to negotiate the release of a jailed American missionary.
There had been speculation that Rodman, who met North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in March, would secure the release of Kenneth Bae, who was jailed for 15 years for trying to overthrow the North Korean government.
"I'm not going to North Korea to discuss freeing Kenneth Bae," Rodman told Reuters in a telephone interview before he left Beijing for Pyongyang. "I'm just going there on another basketball diplomacy tour."
Kim, the third of his line to rule North Korea, is a basketball fan and appeared to get on well with Rodman on the earlier visit, with the two of them pictured laughing, eating and drinking together and watching an all-star basketball match.
Rodman's latest trip is being sponsored by Irish bookmaker Paddy Power. His arrival was announced on North Korean news agency KCNA, which did not provide any further details of the trip.
Wearing his trademark dark sunglasses, the 6-foot 7-inch Rodman pushed through a throng of journalists at Beijing's international airport, a common waystation for travelers to North Korea.
"I'm just trying to go over there to meet my friend Kim, the Marshal," Rodman said. "Try to start a basketball league over there, something like that."
Terrell Owens Gets Iyanla Vanzant To Fix His Life
At the peak of his career, Terrell Owens was one of the most popular NFL players making tens of millions of dollars, dating supermodels, jet-setting with other celebrities, and cashing in on endorsement deals that afforded him the luxury of owning multiple houses and plenty of exotic cars. 15 years and close to making $80 million later, he has lost almost everything and is trying to figure out exactly what went wrong in his life.
Now that he’s been out of the game for a couple of years, T.O. is ready to put all of the pieces back together with the help of Iyanla Vanzant on OWN’s Iyanla: Fix My Life.
Judging from his tweets the other day, he had an “emotional yet insightful” day filming the show while digging deep with Iyanla and “learning who Terrell Owens really is.”

Tim Tebow In Canada?
The signs are looming bigger that Tim Tebow does not have an immediate future in the NFL. Even New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick couldn't use him. And if Belichick – who has always found the best way to utilize players with unique skills – couldn't find a spot for Tebow, who else will?
Now Steve Clarkson, the quarterback guru who worked with Tebow this past offseason, has said Tebow should go to Canada. But does Tebow want to play in Canada? He has always insisted his plan is to be an NFL quarterback, even to the point of resisting a position change as many have suggested he needs to do.
And yet even if Tebow decides he needs to go to the Canadian Football League, does the CFL want him?
"I own his rights and I never even spoke to the guy," Montreal Alouettes coach and general manager Jim Popp told Yahoo Sports two days before Tebow's final preseason game with the Patriots.
Jared Sullinger arrested
The Boston Celtics big man turned himself in Tuesday morning following a weekend incident.
Jared Sullinger turned himself into police early Tuesday morning, according to Nikoletta Banushi of MyFox Boston. Sullinger was arrested after reportedly being involved in a domestic situation with his girlfriend over the weekend.
The Boston Celtics big man is reportedly being charged with assault and battery, malicious destruction of property and witness intimidation. He's expected to appear in Waltham District Court on Tuesday to be formally charged.
The 21-year-old fell in last year's NBA Draft because of reported back problems, but ended up offering good on-court production as the 21st pick. Sullinger averaged a solid 6 points and 5.9 rebounds in less than 20 minutes of action during his rookie year.
He was expected to take on a bigger role for the Celtics this season after the trade of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry to the Brooklyn Nets, but that's up in the air after the results of this situation.

A$AP Rocky On MTV Hottest MC List
A$AP Rocky’s got a fuckin’ problem. While on Power 106 in L.A. he said he was upset about securing the eighth seed on MTV’s Hottest MC list. Below is a transcript of why he felt he deserved the number one spot.
All my videos are shitting on any hip-hop video out there, let’s be honest. The reason why everyone is wearing gold again is because of your boy. Everybody’s wearing diamonds. I’m the one that who made the John Lennon shades with the glasses—everybody wearing it now, you see what’s going on now. C’mon, who brought gold teeth back? Let’s be honest…Honestly, I brought it back in a dramatic way. I made braids hot. But, let’s get off trends. Let’s get off trends. How about that? I’m the first artist who grew enough balls to say, “I listen to Geto Boys, Three 6 Mafia, Bone Thugs N Harmony, N.W.A. and Wu-Tang at the same damn time, what?!” And I’m influenced by all of them. What?!..But moving aside from the fact that I broke boundaries with not only that, but what either rapper is on the cover of Vogue? Forget trends, let’s get off trends. Lets back to the music. Who brought double time back? Who was rapping like Bone? Nobody. [Raps] Ok, whatever. [Raps] Who brought that flow out? I don’t even use it no more. [Raps]Everybody rapping like that., now y’all not even going to notice that? Its frustrating when I’m number eight. Don’t put me at all.
Clearly, Rocky doesn’t lack confidence. With a platinum single, number one debut, and top 10 single, he deserves to make the cut. But breaking boundaries? Cut. It. Out. Diddy and Jay-Z both have Vogue covers. Gold will always shine—especially in the mouths of Southerners. As far as flows go, Z-Ro, Em, Busta, T.I., Ludacris, Bun B, Freddie Gibbs, Yelawolf and others utilize similar patterns. Remember folks, there’s nothing new under the sun. MTV’s list concludes this Thursday.
